The top disc is an integrated dimming wheel and switch, allowing for a seamless transition from bright, friendly light to a quieter, more intimate glow.
Despite w241 Faro’s low, unassuming dimensions, its custom-developed lens solution delivers a generous sweep of even, glare-free illumination in any setting.
The high-performance battery pack has been carefully selected to meet our strict criteria in terms of overall quality, charging cycles, life span, environmental aspects, etc. It is easy to replace via the hatch on the bottom of the luminaire.
Fully charged, w241 Faro’s battery lasts for 7.5–20 hours, depending on the chosen light level. Once the power cord is attached, it then recharges within 4 hours. A colour-coded indicator on the bottom of the luminaire shows the remaining battery capacity at a glance.
Crafted from die-cast aluminum, w241 Faro comes in five painted colour coatings, as well as a tumbled raw aluminium finish (see below). The colour range originates from the small harbour of Corrubedo in Spain. The harbour is also home to David Chipperfield’s Bar do Porto, which features the same colour palette.
The w241 Faro remote control (accessory) can be used to control up to 25 lamps – switching them on or off, setting them at pre-selected light levels, or seamlessly dimming them up or down.
A highly capable indoor lamp – yet portable when you need it to be. w241 Faro’s aesthetics and hybrid performance are designed to impress, both with and without a power cord. Its IP54 rating means it is dust and water resistant, making it suitable for temporary outdoor use.
w241 Faro is available in tumbled raw aluminium finish, with no added coatings or protective treatments. This allows for resource-efficient production, easier recycling, and a graceful ageing process. From the start, its naturally textured surface has a rich, tactile depth; over time, marks, stains, fingerprints, and oxidation will evolve into a beautiful, distinctive patina.
